Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark Diocese met on Wednesday with Bahrain King Hamad bin Isa al Khalifa and his accompanying delegation at Saint Mark's Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in Cairo.

Hamad bin Isa is the first Bahraini monarch who visits the Cathedral.

During the gathering, Pope Tawadros hailed the Egyptian-Bahraini relations while the Bahraini king greeted the pontiff on Easter.

Also, they exchanged souvenirs at the end of the meeting.
