Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain stressed his country’s appreciation of the outstanding relations of friendship between Bahrain and Pakistan, lauding the kingdom’s development in many fields. He thanked His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for building the medical college for nursing in the Pakistani capital Islamabad, calling to boost bilateral cooperation in the security and information exchange field.
The Pakistani President was speaking as he received today Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh within the framework of an official visit paid by him and his accompanying delegation to Pakistan. He hailed the Bahraini investments in Pakistan, mainly in the fields of energy and infrastructure. He also thanked the Shura Council delegation for their appreciation of the role of the Pakistani community in Bahrain’s progress. He praised exchanging visits by high profile delegations from both countries to further bolster cooperation in setting up joint projects in the commercial and industrial fields. He expressed heartfelt greetings to HM the King, His Royal Highness the Premier, HRH the Crown Prince and the Bahraini people.
The Shura Council Chairman conveyed the greetings of Bahrain leadership, thanking Pakistan for the good welcome and hospitality, lauding the invitation of Speaker of Pakistan Congress to visit Pakistan. He expressed appreciation of outstanding historic relations between Bahrain and Pakistan and the perpetual growth achieved by both countries in various fields. He stressed the importance of Pakistan for the whole Islamic nation. He also commended contribution of the Pakistani community to the kingdom’s development, pointing out that completion of the “Silk Route” will enhance trade and economic exchange between Pakistan and the Arabian Gulf countries.
The Shura Council Chairman underlined the importance of bolstering bilateral parliamentary work to avail of the Pakistani parliamentary experience, pointing out the high level of coordination in international parliamentary gatherings regarding various issues.
