Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Sunday received Sigmar Gabriel, German Vice Chancellor and Federal Minister of Economics and Energy, at Al Shatea' Palace.
During the meeting, H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and Gabriel discussed the friendship and cooperation relations between the UAE and Germany and ways of bolstering and promoting them to serve the interests of the two friendly countries and their peoples.
The two sides explored the existing close cooperation between their two countries and the opportunities for promoting them in various spheres, in economy and energy in particular.
They also discussed matters of common interest.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State, Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority (EAA), Juma Mubarak Al Jenaibi, Ambassador of the UAE to Germany, Mohammed Mubarak Al Mazrouie, Undersecretary of the Court of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince, and Lt. General Juma Ahmed Al Bawardi, Military Advisor to Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
Also present at the meeting were Eckhard Franz, Director-General, External Economic Policy at Federal Minister of Economics and Energy; Peter Ramsauer, Head of the German Parliament's Committee on Economic Affairs and Energy and Chairman of Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Miguel Burger, Director of Middle East at the Foreign Affairs Ministry, Aiman Mazyek, Chairman of the Central Council of Muslims in Germany; and Ralf Schroer, Charge d'affaires at the Embassy of Germany in Abu Dhabi.
