HE Minister of State for Defense Affairs Dr Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah met here on Saturday with HE Turkey’s Minister of National Defense Nurettin Canikli.

During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Turkey as well as making further efforts to strengthen cooperation in defense and military fields in addition to increasing the exchange of military training and experiences to serve the common interests of the two brotherly countries.

The meeting also discussed the current situation in the Gulf and its repercussions on the region, in addition to the latest developments in the Syrian crisis, and the efforts of both countries in the fight against terrorism and extremism.

HE Dr. Khaled Al Attiyah hosted a dinner banquet in honor of HE the Turkish Defense Minister and the accompanying delegation, who arrived in Qatar Saturday evening.
