His Majesty King Abdullah II on Thursday received President of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Professor Klaus Schwab and his spouse and discussed the cooperation and partnership relations between Jordan and the forum.

During the meeting, the King underlined the importance of the forum, which is being hosted by Jordan for the 9th time. The forum will focus on youth empowerment, innovation and entrepreneurship in the region as well as means to create jobs for the youth, who are a majority in the region.

The meeting also touched on preparations to host the forum, which will be held with the participation of 1100 leaders and figures from the public and private sectors.

Professor Schwab said hosting the forum by Jordan reiterates its commitment to achieve progress and prosperity in the region. It also reiterates the appreciation for Jordan at the regional and international levels
