King Abdullah II of Jordan held separate meetings with US Secretary of Defense James Mattis and US Secretary of Homeland Security John Kelly in Washington.
The King's meeting with the US Defense Secretary addressed coordination and consultation between Jordan and the United States regarding developments in the Middle East, and ways to deal with them, in order to achieve security and stability for the region and its peoples, Jordan News Agency (Petra) reported.
The meeting, which took place at the Pentagon, tackled the importance of a comprehensive strategy to combat terrorism, military cooperation and the Syrian crisis and efforts to fight terrorism, in addition to the latest developments in Iraq.
Meanwhile, King Abdullah's meeting with US Secretary of Homeland Security discussed security cooperation between the two countries.
