Indian President Pranab Mukherjee met here today with his Palestinian counterpart Mahmud Abbas, where they discussed the situation in the Palestinian territories and the overall regional and international developments.
President Abbas briefed his Indian counterpart about Israeli violations against the Palestinian people, land and Islamic and Christian sanctities as well as the conditions of the hunger strikers for the 30th day in a row.
The Palestinian president praised the support, solidarity and commitment of India to supporting the just cause of the Palestinian people and its permanent national rights at international bodies and forums in order to enable it to attain its freedom and independence by establishing its independent state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
