His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister today received Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi at Gudaibiya Palace. The meeting followed a dinner banquet, which the Crown Prince hosted in honour of the President and the accompanying delegation.
The Crown Prince highlighted the key role that Egypt continues to play in supporting strategic Arab and regional affairs. The Crown Prince also highlighted the strength of Bahrain-Egypt relations, noting His Majesty King Hamad’s continued commitment to furthering bilateral cooperation across the economy, security and trade.
The Crown Prince welcomed the visit of the Egyptian President, adding that Egypt, under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, has been instrumental to maintaining the region’s security and stability.
The Crown Prince stressed that Bahrain, in recognition of this role, continues to support the Egyptian government’s efforts to achieve long-lasting stability within the country in order to deliver further prosperity for the people of Egypt.
The meeting also included discussions on regional and international developments, as well as other areas of mutual interest.
Members of the Royal Family, Ministers and senior Bahraini officials also attended the meeting.
