His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has received a letter from the Custodian of the Two Holy, including an invitation to attend the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)-US Summit, as well as the Arab, Islamic and US Summit to be hosted by Saudi Arabia later this month.
HM King Hamad was handed over the letter by the Saudi Commerce and Investment Minister, Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi, whom he received at the Al-Safriya Palace today.
The minister conveyed to HM King Hamad greetings and appreciation from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and wishes of further progress and prosperity to the people of Bahrain.
HM the King requested the minister to convey his greetings to King Salman, as well as his wishes of more progress and prosperity to the brotherly Saudi people.
HM King Hamad expressed thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for the kind invitation, lauding the solid relations between the two countries, and the ever-progressing cooperation and coordination between them in various fields.
HM the King valued highly and voiced pride in the tremendous efforts exerted by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to enhance joint GCC action, and champion Arab and Islamic issues.
HM King Hamad stressed that Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of King Salman, represents the main pillar of security and stability in the region, and its protective shield thanks to the tremendous efforts it has exerted for the sake of defending Arab interests, and preserving Arab countries’ cohesion and unified stances.
HM the King wished every success for the two high-profile summits so as to serve GCC, Arab and Islamic issues, and consolidate the solid strategic relations and strong cooperation with friendly US.
