French President Francois Hollande met on Tuesday with President of Côte d'Ivoire Alassane Ouattara.
They discussed ways of bolstering economic cooperation between the two states in all fields as well as the latest developments in Africa.
The two leaders tackled the situation in Mali and slammed the recent terrorist attack in Chad.
Some 640 French companies are operating in Côte d'Ivoire and providing one third of the gross domestic product of the country, according to a statement by the Elysée.
The two presidents reviewed preparations for the International Conference on Climate Change, which will be held in Paris later this year.
