Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, received at the Ministry’s General Court today, General Lord David Richards and Lord George Robertson, who are currently visiting the country.

The minister affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s pride in the strong historic relations with the United Kingdom, hailing the development of these relations in all fields. He also highlighted the keenness of the two countries to enhance joint cooperation for the benefit of their friendly peoples.

Lord Richards and Lord Robertson expressed thanks and appreciation to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, commending the historic Bahraini-British relations.

The two Lords also highlighted Bahrain’s role in reinforcing peace and security in the region.

The meeting also discussed the most prominent regional and international issues.
