Minister of Foreign and Foreign Affairs Ayman Safadi on Tuesday met with Fernando Gentilini, the EU Special Representative for the Middle East peace process and discussed with him efforts to set the ground for re-launching serious and effective peace negotiations to reach a solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict on the basis of the two-state solution.

Al-Safadi also met with China’s special envoy to Syria, Xie Xiaoyan, for a discussion on the latest developments in Syria and efforts aimed at stopping the fighting and progressing towards a political solution.
