HE Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani on Tuesday met Nancy Pelosi, minority leader of the U.S. House of Representatives, on the sidelines of the ministerial meeting on ISIS, currently underway in Washington.
The meeting reviewed bilateral relations in the political and economic fields as well as education, in addition to Qatar's efforts in combating terrorism.
Pelosi praised Qatar's role in fighting violent extremism through education and economic empowerment.
HE the foreign minister also met Senator Mitch McConnell, majority leader of the U.S. Senate.
The meeting discussed bilateral ties and means of boosting and developing them in addition to developments in Syria, Iraq and Yemen.
