New York - MENA
Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met on Thursday with Sweden's Justice and Migration Minister Morgan Johansson to discuss cooperation.
The meeting focused on the latest regional developments, particularly the situation in Libya and its impacts on the terrorism and illegal immigration issues, said Foreign Ministry Spokesman Badr Abdel Aati.
Shoukry is currently in the US to promote Egypt's candidacy for 2016-2017 non-permanent seat in the United Nations Security Council. He is also taking part in the Treaty on Nonproliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) Review Conference.
Shoukry reiterated that Egypt backs a political solution to the crisis in the war-torn Libya, the spokesman added.
