Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry received British Prime Minister's national security adviser Sir Kim Darroch to discuss means of boosting bilateral relations, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Badr Abdel Atti said in a statement Thursday.

The meeting also tackled the situation in the Middle East and its effects on Europe's security.

They discussed the latest developments concerning the situation in Libya, Yemen and Syria.

Shoukry reiterated the importance of supporting the Libyan legitimate government and parliament as well as Egypt's support to the Yemeni legitimate government.
