Cairo - MENA
Egypt’s Ambassador in Tokyo Ismail Khairat discussed with executives at Japanese automobile company “Nissan” means to transfer advanced technology in car manufacturing to the Egyptian market.
The Egyptian envoy also probed with them means to boost the company’s investments in Egypt, which manufactured 100,000 vehicles since its Egypt factory started operation in 2005, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Khairat had visited one of Nissan’s most prominent plants in south of Tokyo, which was built in 1961 and has since then manufactured over 1.5 million vehicles. The plant is also the company’s main premises for manufacturing electric cars.
