Prime Minister Sherif Ismail met on Saturday with Jordanian Interior Minister Salameh Hammad in the presence of Interior Minister Magdy Abdel Ghaffar.
The premier hailed as deeply-rooted the relations with Jordan, underling the importance of promoting ties in all fields, said the cabinet's spokesman Ashraf Sultan.
Ismail welcomed proposals that are meant to boost coordination and cooperation in the security domain including information exchange and joint training programs to improve security personnel's competence.
He called for more expertise exchange to face all challenges and difficulties in the Arab world particularly in relation to counter-terror efforts.
The Jordanian minister, for his part, delivered greetings of the Jordanian prime minister to Ismail, stressing the Jordanian government's keenness on boosting bilateral relations in all fields.
The minister pointed out to coordination between the interior ministries of the two countries in the security field. He expressed appreciation for efforts exerted by Egypt to combat terrorism.
