Egyptian Ambassador to Italy Amr Helmy met on Friday with the political adviser to Italian President Sergio Mattarella.

The Italian official voiced her country's support for Egypt in the anti-terror war.

Helmy, for his part, thanked Italy for its supportive stances towards Egypt.

Such stances reflect deeply-rooted relations between the two countries, he said.

Helmy called for international coordination to fight terrorism.
