The 16th edition of the Dubai World Dermatology and Laser Conference and Exhibition (Dubai Derma) accredited scientific pre-conference courses started today at the Novotel Hotel, Dubai.
The pre-conference courses cover a highly accredited scientific program that includes 30 specialised sessions highlighting the major topics and pressing issues related to dermatology and dermatopathology, preparing doctors for the Arab Board of Dermatology Exam. Dubai Derma pre-conference courses this year are hosting 15 speakers and specialists coming from the United States of America, Egypt, KSA, India, and the UAE.
Commenting on the significance of these courses, Dr. Hassan Galadari, Head of Scientific Committee of Dubai Derma Conference & Exhibition said, "The pre-conference courses follow tried and tested themes of summarising important topics of high yield value to trainees and those willing to refresh their knowledge in the field of dermatology. Given the popularity of dermatopathology in the past, this topic is now divided amongst two days. The final day of the course will also showcase international academicians from highly regarded institutes in the US. The cosmetic course will showcase 6 well renowned speakers from across the world who will address every aspect of that specific field."
Dubai Derma pre-conference courses are presented by distinguished speakers, who come to share their expertise on the latest technologies and best treatment modalities for various skin diseases. Some of the topics discussed this year will include Alopecia, Atopic Dermatitis, Granulomas, Hair Diseases, Lasers, Management of Hyperpigmentation, Melanocytic Lesions, Phototherapy, Soft Tissue Tumors, and many more.
Besides the main topics that will be tackled during the pre-conference courses, a "Mock Exam" will be conducted to simulate the environment of the Arab Board of Dermatology Exam, which will prepare the participants for the real board exam. The 'Mock Exam' will include questions not only covered during the pre-conference courses, but those that may be asked during the actual exam. In addition, participants with the highest 3 grades will be honored with cash prizes. It is worth mentioning that Dubai Derma pre-conference courses are also accredited with 23.3 CME points from College of Medicine, UAE University.
On the sidelines of the pre-conference courses, a panel of highly recognized dermatologists and experts from Germany, UAE, and France, will convene to conduct an intensive cosmetic course of Skin Fillers & Botox on the 10th of April at Novotel Hotel, Dubai. The Course will discuss interesting cases, innovations, trends and techniques in the field of cosmetic dermatology through live models.
Dubai Derma 4-day pre-conference courses are happening before the Dubai World Dermatology and Laser Conference and Exhibition which will begin next Tuesday, 12th of April and will last for three days at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
