Deputy Prime Minister HH Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa affirmed Bahrain’s support to all institutions that serve the issues of security and stability and promote the culture of peace in the region, emanating from the belief that peace is the essential pillar for communities and peoples to achieve prosperity and development.

His Highness’s remarks were expressed today as he received the Director of International Peace Institute (IPI), Terje Rod-Larsen, praising the Institute’s role and its positive contributions through research studies aimed to achieve international stability and security as well as deepening the awareness about the issues of security and peace on the global level.

For his part, Rod-Larsen expressed his gratitude and appreciation of Bahrain’s support to international peace research institutions and the provision of assistance in order to achieve the desirable goals, affirming the IPI keenness to develop the ongoing cooperation with all the relevant centres and institutions in Bahrain.
