Defense Minister Sedqi Sobhi on Friday took part in a celebration marking the 50th anniversary of establishing the Armed Forces Hospital in Maadi.

During the celebration, Chief of the logistics branch of the Armed Forces Abdel Mordy Abdel Salam affirmed the General Command's keenness on upgrading the medical and treatment system provided for the Egyptian people.

A documentary was played, showing the hospital's history and the development of its medical capabilities.

Sobhi honored former managers of the hospital in appreciation of their performance in serving the country.

The health and higher education ministers, and senior officers of the Armed Forces also took part in the celebration.
