President of Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa received today at Bahrain National Museum a delegation from Bahrain Commercial Facilities Company headed by Chief Executive Adel Habil. She reviewed cultural programmes carried out by BACA as part of its festivities to celebrate Bahrain’s archaeological heritage. She pointed out various functions including Bahrain Summer Festival which is going on till August 7 near Bahrain Fort. She also mentioned key ventures like the Pearl Route Project and other functions to be implemented next year marking “Muharraq Capital of Islamic Culture”.
Shaikha Mai thanked Bahrain Commercial Facilities Company for the meeting which reflects the importance of the private sector’s presence in the Bahraini cultural scene, lauding its support to modernising the mounds hall at Bahrain National Museum which will celebrate next year its 30th anniversary. She also underlined the importance to invest in culture which turned Bahrain into a model embodying true partnership in setting up a sustainable cultural structure.
On his part, the company’s CEO praised BACA’s projects and its efforts to enrich the local and regional cultural scene, voicing the company’s readiness to support the authority’s cultural projects
