Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Bowardi, Minister of State for Defence Affair, received on Wednesday Fernando Luis Lemos Igreja, Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil to the UAE, who presented his assumption of duties as the new ambassador to the country.

During the meeting, Al Bowardi welcomed the ambassador and wished him success in the performance of his duties. The minister also praised the strong bilateral ties between the UAE and Brazil across various fields.

The two sides also discussed issues of mutual interest, and means of enhancing relations between the two friendly countries, particularly in the military and defence sectors.

The meeting was attended by senior officials and representatives of the Ministry of Defence.
