Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas received a phone call Friday from Cyprus president Nicos Anastasiades.

The call took up the future of peace talks between the Palestinians and Israelis.

Also, the two sides discussed the situation in the occupied Palestinian lands, official WAFA news agency reported.
