Ukraine’s Ministry of Culture suggests imposing personal sanctions against 14 Russian cultural figures over their position on Crimea and Ukraine’s Donbas region.
“We suggest imposing restrictions on 14 Russian cultural figures because of their stance on the annexation of Crimea and the situation in eastern Ukraine,” Ukrainian Culture Minister Yevgeny Nishchuk said, refusing to name the Russians to be subject to sanctions.
“The appropriate bodies, including the Foreign Ministry, will decide what kind of restrictions should be imposed,” Nishchuk said.
