The Seoul municipal government said Thursday it will restore a notorious prison under imperialist Japan in an effort to add it to UNESCO's world heritage list. Many anti-colonial activists were tortured and executed in the Seodaemun prison in western Seoul during Japan's 1910-45 colonial rule of the Korean Peninsula.
