Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark Diocese inaugurated Sunday the altars and the baptism of the St. Mark church of Toronto during his current visit to Canada.
In a statement, the Orthodox Church said the pope inaugurated three altars at the church.
The pope will ordained a priest of the Church, the statement added.
Pope Tawadros also put the foundation stone for the Pontifical Headquarters, the Coptic Museum and the Cultural Center in Toronto.
