Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab

Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab stressed on Saturday that the government was keen on protecting archaeological buildings in Cairo.
Mahlab made the remarks during a plenary meeting of the ministerial committee on Old Cairo.
Attending were ministers of tourism, local development, urban development, awqaf, housing, international cooperation, environment and antiquities and Cairo governor.
The prime minister ordered nontraditional solutions to the repairing and cleaning of the historical sites in Cairo.
He said that it was agreed to study establishing a specialized body for Old Cairo.
