An archeological tomb of the pre-dynastic era has been discovered in the Upper Egyptian city of Edfu, Aswan province, Antiquities Minister Mohamed Ibrahim said. A mummy, a 32 cm-high statue made of ivory, ten ivory combs along with a number of tools and weapons were found in the tomb. The tomb's discovery is expected to reveal more details about funerary beliefs and customs, the minister said. The discovery was made by an English team of archaeologists in cooperation with the Ministry of Antiquities, he added.
