Culture Minister Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifahas been chosen for a top Italian honour. She will be bestowed the Order of theItalian Star next June during Italy's National Day celebrations, Italian Ambassador to Bahrain Alberto Vecchi revealed as he was received by the Culture Minister today.He pointed out that the honour is in recognition of the Culture Minister'soutstanding role in enriching the Arab and international cultural scene through various activities, in addition to her relentless work in raising awareness of theimportance of Bahrain's cultural heritage.The Culture Minister expressed happiness about the honour, describing it as atribute to Bahrain which has become a cultural and touristic destination, thankingthe Italian President for the honour.
