Culture Minister Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa today received Chinese Ambassador Lee Xin and discussed cultural and tourism strategy, stressing the importance of promoting dialogue between civilizations and investing in culture. The Chinese diplomat hailed Bahrain’s cultural achievements, citing particularly Manama Capital of Arab Culture 2012 and Manama Capital of Arab Tourism 2013. The minister stressed Bahrain’s efforts to attract world-renowned expertise, open up on other cultures and civilizations and promote joint projects with China.
