Iran's Vice-President for Planning and Strategic Supervision Mohammad Baqer Nobakht stressed the need for the expansion of Iran's relations with the Islamic Development Bank (IDB). During a Monday meeting with President of the IDB Ahmad Mohammed Ali who is on a visit to Iran, Nobakht referred to abundant capacities for cooperation between Iran and the IDB, voicing Iran's readiness to implement ideas put forward by the bank, the Islamic republic news agency reported. He underlined that the remaining two years of Iran's Fifth Five-Year Development Plan is a proper chance for Iran to make use of the IDB's proposals. The official further added that as Iran prepares to draft its Sixth Development Plan as of next year, the IDB can help Iran establish better relations with neighboring countries. Given Iran's experience in implementation of projects in West and Central Asia, Nobakht said, Iran can supply neighboring countries with technical and engineering services through cooperation with the IDB.
