The US dollar exchange rate remained unchanged at the four major Egyptian banks Wednesday.
On Tuesday, the dollar price approached 18 pounds at the close of trading.
In November, The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) liberalized the dollar exchange rate as part of measures requested by the International Monetary Fund (IMF)’s executive board, which had approved Egypt’s 12-billion-dollar loan to support the economic reform program.
The buying price of the dollar at the National Bank of Egypt (NBE), Banque Misr, Banque Du Caire and the CIB, stood at EGP 17.95 Wednesday.
The selling price reached 17.7 pounds at the NBE and Banque Du Caire and 17.75 pounds at Banque Misr and the CIB.
