Seoul - Yonhap
A Seoul court on Friday ordered now-bankrupt Busan Savings Bank to pay nearly 40 billion won (US$35 million) in compensation to hundreds of its customers for incurring financial losses. In 2011, some 280 individual bond investors lodged a class action suit against the lender, its top executives, state regulators, accountants and the government, holding them accountable for fraudulent accounting and lax inspection.
