Dubai-based telco du said on Monday that it has launched a subscription-based music download service for customers. Under the Music Store initiative, du mobile users can download five full length songs of their choice which they will own permanently. The service will also allow du customers to share songs they like from the music store on to social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter, du said in a statement. Du said it has launched Music Store with a library of more than 10,000 songs - across different music genres, including Arabic, Western and Bollywood. \"Our Music Store is an innovative service that will appeal to our wide customer base with rich content that caters to every taste in music. Music will now truly be available on-the-go.\" said Farid Faraidooni, chief commercial officer of du. Du said it is the first telecom service provider in the region to provide downloadable full length audio tracks on a subscription model with languages such as English, Arabic, Hindi, and Tagalog. Du said that once subscribed, customers can download five full songs for AED1 per day.
