Pantech Co., South Korea\'s No. 3 handset maker, said Tuesday that it will roll out a new smartphone for fourth-generation (4G), super-fast wireless service in the United States. Slated to hit the market on Thursday (U.S. time), the Android smartphone \"Breakout\" is five to 10 times faster than the current third-generation smartphones that use long-term evolution (LTE) technology, said Pantech. The company\'s first LTE phone is equipped with a 1GHz processer, 4-inch liquid crystal display and 500 mega pixel built-in camera, said Pantech. It will be released via U.S. biggest mobile carrier Verizon Wireless. Pantech said it will release an LTE smartphone model in the South Korean market next month.
