Vladivostok - Xinhua
An international environmental forum started here Thursday to talk about a wide range of ecological problems, such as mutually beneficial cooperation in environmental protection, biodiversity conservation and sustainable use of natural resources. One of the main topics is about implementation of some specific environmental projects in preparation for the 2012 APEC Summit, scheduled in Vladivostok in September 2012. Besides, nanoecology and ecotourism development, which can help improve energy efficiency, will also be discussed. The forum has drawn more than 400 delegates from Russia, China, South Korea, Japan, Australia, Germany, the United States, Britain and other countries. They are from scientific institutions, universities, business circles and environmental organizations.
