Abu Dhabi - Emirates Voice
Apple's iPhone 8 release is just a week away and in the past few months, we have been flooded with leaks about how the device will look like. Most of these are dummy models made basing them on actual iPhone schematcis. All these are pseudo iPhones that stimulate our imagination.
But now - for the first time - a leaked video gives us a sneak peek into a working iPhone8 - the real functional device.
Is it the real deal?
There is no way to check the authenticity of the video. However, it surely looks the real thing from what can be made out. The video is pretty dark and the device is not properly visible. The phone's display can be seen, though.
The display shows the huge (hideous) notch cut out of the top of the screen, front-facing camera, and sensors. The aspect ratio appears to be around 18:9 - this has never been seen before on an iOS device. But is this even an iOS device?
In the top-right corner of the display, you can see the signal strength indicator and the Wi-Fi icon. The time can be seen in the top-left corner.
The folks at news website, BGR, feel that the video could be real, but we can't assure you that. For the real thing, you will have to tame your curiosity and wait until September 12. Patience is the name of the game!
