Samsung Electronics Co., the world's largest maker of TVs, maintained its lead in Europe in the first half of this year, an international market researcher said Thursday. According to Germany-based GfK Group, Samsung accounted for 30.7 percent of the European flat panel TV market, which includes liquid crystal display (LCD) and plasma display panel (PDP) sets, in the January-June period.
