The Yemen Women's Union (YWU) in partnership with Oxfam have held the first forum for the development of women's committees with the participation of 30 rural and lawyers women.
The participants discussed the educational and health services as well as the situation of women in rural areas and issues that are not addressed at the local level.
The meeting also touched on the importance of educating rural girls and increasing their social level in order to improve the living standard of poor families in those areas.
