A middle-aged woman and three minor girls were run over by a train near Puthiyangady in the city outskirts on Sunday, police said.

Police, who suspect it to be a case of suicide, said the woman and the girls could not be identified so far. Locals spotted the bodies on the track and alerted them around 7am, they said, adding information regarding the train and the time of the incident, could not be known immediately. Investigation is on, police said.
