Cairo - MENA
The National Council for Women (NCW) Head Mervat Talawi underlined that women had achieved advantages in the elections law from which they should benefited, thus active women will be presented to the next parliament to prove the success of the experience.
Talawi's remark came during a speech she delivered at a workshop dubbed "Egyptian woman... step towards 2015 parliament... role of political parties".
The workshop was organized by the NCW on Monday as part of its keenness to support women willing to be nominated in the next parliamentary polls.
The event was attended by a number of heads of Egyptian political parties, members of the council and media personnel.
The NCW head called on the female voters to cast their ballots for the women nominated in the next parliamentary elections, adding that the constituencies law allowed 45 women to nominate themselves in individual seats instead of 15.
