US national security advisor Susan Rice

U.S. National Security Adviser Susan Rice will visit Beijing next week for meetings with senior Chinese officials ahead of President Barack Obama's trip to the country later this year, her office said.
The September 7-9 trip will include talks with Chinese State Councilor Yang Jiechi on a range of bilateral, regional and global issues, the office said. She will underscore Washington's commitment to building a productive relationship between the two countries in advance of Obama's visit to China in November, it said.
