A 17-year old girl was shot dead during clashes between members of the blacklisted Muslim Brotherhood (MB) group and residents in eastern Alexandria on Friday, a medical source said.
Several people were wounded in the clashes that took place in Maiami district in the coastal city, a police official said.
The official denied that security forces opened fire to disperse the protesters.
