The presidency has mourned prominent actress Faten Hamama who passed away on Saturday at the age of 84.
"The presidency mourns with deep sorrow the great actress Faten Hamama who died today and offers condolences to her family, relatives and fans in Egypt and the Arab world," a presidential statement said.
The presidency hailed the late actress as one who "had always enriched Egyptian cinema with her valuable movies."
