Social Development Minister Dr. Fatima Mohammed Al-Balooshi received a UK delegation led by British Youth Justice Agency President Paula Jack and updated them on Bahrain’s efforts to promote juvenile care.
She stressed progress of work on a new world-standard care and rehabilitation centre to accommodate minors aged 7 to 15 years old.
She pointed out plans to staff the new centre with fourteen psychology and social specialists who had been trained.
The delegation commended the role of the ministry in providing care for the elderly and the handicapped and protect children from domestic violence.
