Authorities in Florida said a spring breaker's father allegedly struck cars with a golf club in a jail parking lot because of his daughter's arrest. The Walton County Sheriff's Office said Phillip Tidwell, 47, of Dyersburg, Tenn., was caught on video March 12 using the golf club to damage parked cars, including one marked patrol car, outside the county jail. He was arrested Wednesday on a charge of criminal damage to property, the Northwest Florida Daily News reported Friday. The sheriff's office said Tidwell told deputies he smacked the cars because he was frustrated with how long it was taking to get his daughter released from jail. The 20-year-old had been arrested earlier in the day on a charge of possessing an alcoholic beverage, deputies said. Tidwell allegedly caused more than $1,600 in damage to the cars he clubbed.
