Manama - BNA
A batch of 40 students enrolled at Bahrain University and other private universities started a three-month training media course. The trainees sat written placement tests and interviews in cooperation with the department of media, tourism and art at the University of Bahrain. The Information Affairs Authority is organizing the training scheme as part of its adopted strategy to hone the skills of a new generation of journalists. The students will be training on report writing, programme preparation and news anchoring, in addition to a series of workshops focusing on technical aspects such as video-editing, TV and radio presentation. The IAA plans to hold a similar training course for its employees to brush their radio and TV skills in line with latest trends.
