A student in University of Bahrain accomplished an engineering project for a center that cares for the people who have visual disability and blinds. The project is based on integrating people of visual disability into society affairs, and encourage them to be active through providing an environment that presents what they need in a center equipped with all services. The student Dhoha Khalil Al Kebeisi, who studies in Interior Design Department at College of Engineering in the university highlighted that her project \"Holistic Visual Impairment Center,\" aims at removing the barriers between the category of blinds and the society, and provide support for them. The designing of the project addresses the effect of the various materials on the life of people of visual disability, pointing out that the center has an esthetic and practical balanced environment, and an opportunity to people to meet and have self-education and benefit from their time in meeting with the people of visual disability. Dhoha Al Kebeisi said that the proposed center provides services that are related to educational rehabilitation, and self, psychological and physical rehabilitation, in addition to social life and entertainment. She also said that the whole area of the center is more than 3600 sq. meters with two floors. Dhoha Al Kebeisi aspires that any party implements the project on the grounds in supporting such category of society, highlighting that what is provided for them at the moment is only an ordinary building for them to live, and not a specified building that meet their needs in moving freely, in addition to the psychological and mental needs. Dhoha also pointed out that her project was praised by the panel, friends and family, as well as some blinds who she has met.
