H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has attended the graduation ceremony of the 19th batch of students from the American University in Dubai, AUD, which included 450 male and female students studying business, mechanical and electrical and computer engineering, media, interior design and construction management, architecture and civil engineering, education and visual communication, and international studies.
The graduation ceremony, which was held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, DWTC, yesterday evening, was attended by Dr. Ahmad bin Abdulla Humaid Belhoul AlFalasi, Minister of State for Higher Education, and Dr. Abdulla Al Karam, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director-General of the Knowledge and Human Development Authority, KHDA, along with a number of officials and educational leaders in the country and parents and relatives of the graduates.
H.H. Sheikh Mansour presented certificates to the graduates and praised the efforts made by pioneering academic institutions in the Emirate of Dubai in particular and the UAE in general, for their impact on strengthening scientific progress in the country, particularly with regard to the higher education sector, expressing his wishes for further success for all graduates in their scientific and practical lives.
The graduates extended their thanks and appreciation for the great attention and support by the UAE's wise leadership for science and education, staying that the thought of the Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, is a source of inspiration for them and a beacon which lights the way for them, wishing him good health and wellness and further progress and prosperity for the UAE.
They also extended thanks to H.H. Sheikh Mansour for attending their graduation ceremony, which, they said, reflects H.H.'s keen interest in supporting the young generations and encouraging them at the beginning of a new phase of their lives.
